We went to Washington D.C. and had a fantastic time! We toured the Capitol Building, rode the Metro Rail, ate at the Native American Museum, and more! Our government systems studies came to fruition.

A geologist named Dr. Johnson, gave a presentation on local fossils. Both lower and upper elementary classes thoroughly enjoyed his humor and candor! Each of us got a Virginia fossil (Chesapecten jeffersonius) to take home.

We have a South Korean student visiting our class until the end of the school year. Her name is Minseo and we have enjoyed her company in various activities! She has sewn a charging station for her electronics; made a stain glass window for her mother; worked with our geometry material; helped other students with division and multiplication; and visited Washington D.C.

Our class made stained glass windows for Mother's Day. Spring 2012
