Colonial Williamsburg Field Trip October 22, 2013

Getting to know our tour guide Ms. Myra

Walking down Dog Street in Colonial Williamsburg

A visit to the Governor's Palace with a little mystery attached.

Carriage ride! Look out for road apples.

A rare viewing of Crystal because she usually takes the pictures!

A ghost story about a man who lived in this house left our group wanting to learn more about the history of Williamsburg!

A review of why pictures were so important to signs revels that many Colonists could not read or write.

Only men could stay at the hotel up the street. This hotel is where women were allowed to stay.

The apparatus hanging over the door indicates that you could buy sugar (and other essentials) at this shop.

Crazy Lucy lived here and is said to haunt the upper right window. The students were mesmerized by Ms. Myra's story telling abilities!

The armory and the courthouse.

Burton Parish Church. George Washington attended services here. His step-children are buried behind the building.

Ms. Myra shows us what it would be like to meet gentlemen and ladies for the first time.

The men show off their calves from their ability to ride horses.

The gentlemen doff their caps to show politeness.

The ladies put their right hands over their left hands in response.

...and curtsey to the gentlemen.

An archaeological dig in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg.

Please, Ms. Myra! One more ghost story?
